Little help with science?

i know 2 is D for sure but i am unsure about 1. im fairly confident that it is not E or D or B. But then im not sure because i dont think that its A or C either. haha. if i had to guess, i would guess at B because animals can pick and choose who to mate with to create specialized offspring from genes and DNA.
