Can I claim for tax re-bate when I am JUST over the limit?

From 6 April 2008 - 5 April 2009 I only worked 6 months in the UK where tax was payable. In this time I earned just over �6200. I have researched and to claim for a tax re-bate you have to earn under �6035 between this tax year. I have just ped over the limit or may have calculated it slightly wrong so is it worth a try anyway to try and claim back the tax I have paid. Thanks guys!! Love love love x
