Choose an appropriate sewing machine..?

I have never used either of those machine, however, I will stick up for BROTHER. I have 3 Brother machines, my favorite (that I take when I am teaching a quilting cl) was inexpensive and is only a straight/zigzag stitch. It needed a repair once, my fault for forcing it...and has been fine ever since. I own a BROTHER printer and a BROTHER fax machine. There is nothing wrong with any of them. I suggest trying out any machine you want to buy and remember you are buying the sewing machine shop along with the machine, make sure you like the staff and that they are dependable and reliable. Some of my students have gotten lemons and the shop has been less than friendly after the sale...Good luck, I hope you find a machine you like!
