Can you ovulate 8 days after the first day of your period?

i have just finished my period (well i have them for 5 days ) and today is my eighth day. I feel as though im ovulating all ready, i have a sticky discharge which looks like snot(sorry if tmi) sore and pain in my side , which i normally get when i ovulate??? so do you think im ovulating early or my bodys getting ready too??? and when should i bd the most?ttc for a while know . baby dust too you all ttc xxxxx thanks . oh and my periods are very regular 28 daysxx
